One frequent cause of treatment in our medical center, is the appearance of small spider veins on the face and the expansion of bluish veins in the legs.

What are spider veins?

The medical name for these entities is telangiectasia — a persistent dilation of small vessels in the skin of non-inflammatory nature. The diameter of the blood vessels is 0.5-1 mm.

Why do I have spider veins?

There are many reasons — a wrong way of life (smoking, alcohol, lack of sleep, lack of exercise); reception of hormonal preparations; genetic predisposition, as well as the abuse of tan.

How is the procedure?

Laser luchND: YAG with a certain wavelength exposes on a vessel. The protein hemoglobin in the tank absorbs the energy and becomes «minimized».  At the same time nearby tissues are not affected, but treated vessel is «soldered» from within and eventually becomes launched.

What are the contraindications for the procedure?

  • Pregnancy, lactation;
  • Receiving anti-inflammatory and antibiotic therapy;
  • Diabetes;
  • Limit sun for 2 weeks after the procedure.

How many procedures do I need?

The course can be 3-6 sessions with an interval of 1-1.5 months.

Is it dangerous to remove spider veins?
